Center for Mathematics
Site I built for the July 2005 Maryland Summer Center for Mathematics, a summer program for mathematically gifted children. I serve as co-director of the Center.
NAFTC
I currently work at the NAFTC, as part of the curriculum development team. Our work is exciting, as it can contribute to cleaner air and energy independence.
WVU Tech Ed
Program in which I'm enrolled as a doctoral student. I will team teach a graduate-level course in the Fall 2005 semester.
CIT @ FSU
My former place of work, where I served as Instructional Designer and Training Coordinator for the online education initiative. I occassionally present workshops for the CIT and for related parties.
 

 




 


  More About the Mix

Interactive Puzzle - designed as an example of instructional technology use for TE 611. Puzzle reinforces course material and can add to motivation of students.

Interactive Ppt - designed for use by instructors/students using NAFTC curricula. The game engages students and helps students rehearse course material.

Lesson Plan - designed for participants of the Summer Center for Mathematics; lesson is based on constructivist theory, it is exploratory in nature and promotes higher level thinking skills.

Tutorial Video - designed to demonstrate skills needed to complete the activity described in the Lesson Plan above. Incorporates audio and video to reduce cognitve overload. Can be used to build prior knowledge of Geometer's Sketchpad features.

Tutorial Document - designed for Photoshop workshop on basic optimizing techniques for graphics used on the Web.

Word Integration - designed to aid Summer Center students in their explorations and critical thinking skills as they work on the activity described in the Lesson Plan above.

Class Biosketches - project in which we learned how to convert Word documents to pdf files and then combine the pdf files into one document. This biosketch activity coule help build community in an online learning environment as it helps students connect to one another.
